“ We have been coming down to Atlanta for over ten years since our daughter moved here to Alpharetta so we're very familiar with the locale and have tried many restaurants. This time we were looking for an AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant. Our usual has been El Porton, which has been okay, it's authentic, taco Tuesday was a deal, but we wanted to try something different this time. My daughter recommended Catrina's Mexican Grill by the Macdonald's on McGinnis/Ferry, and it was a hit. We got delicious authentic Mexican food. The chips & salsa were fresh. Our dinners came out hot and very tasty. Portions were not skimpy, the California Burrito was humongous, topped with both red and green chili sauce. Prices were reasonable. Service was fast but it was not busy (Sunday night). However, I did not get a refill on my water. The decor was authentic Mexican-a skeleton, which symbolizes I believe "the day of the dead" in Mexico is on the cover of their menu. In all, a very good authentic Mexican meal! Four stars because I didn't get water refill. ”
“ Great neighborhood Mexican priced well with reasonable portions! Excellent cheese dip and salsa to start with. We tried different combination plates to sample a variety of options - the tacos, chalupas and quesadillas were all excellent. The skinny margaritas were delicious too! This is our new favorite neighborhood Mexican - it by far surpasses all the other Mexican restaurants in the area. ”
“ We have a new favorite Mexican restaurant.... Wife has the chicken rice bowl, and it was fabulous. I had some of the best tacos I have ever had! ”
“ This is a hidden gem! We had great quality food and service. Everything is fresh from the tortilla shells, to the chips and the salsa. We had chicken and also beef quesadillas. They both came with a giant plate of beans and rice, and pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream. We also had the burrito grande steak and it was fresh and topped beautifully. We had the skinny margaritas and it was made with fresh limes and agave!!! Delicious !!! The interior is not only cleaned but so colorful and really nice to sit and see all the art all over the walls! We have found our New Mexican restaurant ! Nice job!!! ”
“ Great food and ambiance. Fajitas, Quesadilla and Nachos were awesome. Nice service..... ”
“ Drove by this place and was really enchanted by all the colorful lights outside so thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did. Parking was easy and convenient in the lot right in front. The decor is fresh and charming without being too "busy," the service was great, and the menu was huge. I tried the chicken enchiladas verdes and was quite happy with them. Next time I'll be back to try the "build your own rice bowl." ”
“ Shout out to Catrina's Mexican restaurant! Always great service and definitely the place for fresh food. They also help with those with food allergies to make what you can have and like! ”
“ We stumbled upon this restaurant looking for the Indian restaurant at the end of the plaza. I'm glad we did. Our waiter was super nice and helpful. I ordered the shrimp cocktail and did not expect what I received. It was more of a soup with shrimp chopped up in it. I have to say it was really good kind of sweet. I have them hold the cilantro because I am one of those folks that it taste like soap we also ordered the shrimp soup, which was blazing hot. it was a nice contrast to the code shrimp cocktail. They both were really good by the time our food came out we were full and ended up taking the rest of it home. This is definitely a place we will try again. ”
“ Lovely decor on the inside of this fairly newer Mexican restaurant. There's plenty of parking and very easy to get to. I came during lunch and was greeted and sat quickly. I asked for a sweet tea which never came unfortunately.. by the time my food came out, I just asked for a water as I noticed they were still making the tea and I wish my server would have just let me know instead of me just waiting to have something to drink. The food i had was good and prices were fine. There's no substitutions on lunch items and if you decide to omit anything there's an up charge on it. Even with the small mishap I'd love to come back and try more items they have to offer ! ”
